This page explains how Homekeepr app users can request account deletion, what data is deleted, what data may be kept if the user chooses to leave some behind, and the related retention timing.

How to request deletion

Homekeepr, Inc. provides in-app account deletion. Follow these steps in the Homekeepr app to submit your request.

Tap "More"

Open the Homekeepr app and tap More.

Tap "Delete Account"

Select Delete Account from the menu.

Follow the prompts

Review the instructions in the app, choose whether any user data should be left behind, and confirm the deletion request.

What data is deleted or kept

The deletion flow lets the user choose whether any user data is left behind. The outcome depends on the option selected in the Homekeepr app.

Option 1

Delete everything

If the user chooses not to leave any user data behind, Homekeepr deletes or anonymizes data associated with the account, including:

  • Account information such as name, email address, login credentials, and profile details
  • Home information entered in the app, including notes, preferences, and home characteristics
  • Uploaded photos, documents, manuals, warranties, receipts, and maintenance records
Option 2

Delete the account and keep chosen home data

If the user chooses to leave some data behind, Homekeepr deletes or anonymizes the personal account data that directly identifies the user and may keep user-approved property-level data such as:

  • Property address and home characteristics
  • Appliance, maintenance, and service records tied to the home
  • Photos or documents connected to the home record that are not uniquely tied to the user's personal identity

Retention timing

Homekeepr processes deletion requests after the in-app confirmation flow is completed.

Deleted data

Data scheduled for deletion is deleted or anonymized within 30 days of the request, unless longer retention is required by law or for legitimate security purposes.

Data the user chooses to keep

No fixed additional retention period applies to data the user chooses to leave behind. That data remains until it is later removed or no longer needed to operate the Homekeepr service.
